Yu Tong (b. 1994, Chongqing) lives and works in Chongqing. She received her BFA from the Department of Chinese Painting at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2018. Yu’s artistic practice explores the connectivity between diverse elements, encompassing natural material painting, ecological installation, and slow fashion. She emphasizes the interplay between the creative process and lived experience, revealing the local and natural world, mysticism, chance occurrences, and personal order as tangible realities that can be engaged with, understood, and reshaped.
