Shang Simin (b.Hangzhou, 1983) graduated from China Academy of Art and University of the Arts London, UK. Shang's ideas of works come from the early interest and study of conceptual photography. Through multi-dimensional research, he conducts visual language interpretation and exploration of concepts, and transforms and writes some metaphors. His practice of works are mainly based on painting, and he is interested in studying some color matching and different cute characters. Sometimes Shang uses bright and lovely images to express the theme of sadness, showing the effect of dark humor.
