Last June we realized that some of our works are related to the space of “metro”, and started planning this project of metro and the city.
Metro as an urban transportation method has become our everyday life. The planned underground space is also planning our lives - from center to outskirt, a massive amount of bodies with ambiguous faces and pressuring loneliness are joining and moving under signals.
Through this exhibition we have the chance to review our observations and practices and make new works. In terms of organization, we inherit the self-organizing experience and follow individual routes to construct the whole project. Besides, we decide to connect the logical forms of each other’s works for clues while constructing spaces seemingly alone and close. Audiences read the works separately in several constructed scenes, while sometimes they can use their body to think about the exhibition. Only through sentimental decoding can we walk out of the dilemmas.
